How UTMCraft Works
A practical workflow from a destination URL to a campaign link you can review and distribute.
Updated 13 October 2026
1. Start with the real destination
Open the page you intend to promote and copy its URL. Keep functional query values, such as product variants or language, and any fragment used to reach a section. Use an HTTP or HTTPS destination. The builder does not visit that address or verify whether it is reachable.
2. Choose the campaign identity
In the Builder, enter source, medium, and campaign. Add term or content only when they answer a useful reporting question. Import existing campaign fields when editing an old link. Setting a field replaces its existing value; clearing an imported campaign field removes it. Unrelated destination parameters remain intact.
3. Review the result
Check the generated link and its actual validation findings. Duplicate keys, missing recommended campaign values, obvious personal-information patterns, and naming inconsistencies deserve review. Use the Parser to inspect all values and Compare URLs to understand a change. No local check can guarantee correct analytics configuration.
4. Copy and test the distribution path
Copy the finished link into your campaign. If local history is enabled, copying from the full Builder saves a record in this browser. Test the actual email, ad preview, short link, or printed QR code before broad distribution. Redirects and third-party systems may change what arrives at the destination.
5. Reuse deliberately
Presets supply reusable starting values, recipes illustrate channel choices, and the bulk tool processes multiple rows. Review the generated examples and replace example.com before publishing. Export a taxonomy document if teammates need the same vocabulary; local preferences do not synchronize between users.
